The Hwa Shiang Pao urgod Great Britain to turn to Russia for cconomic co-operation and to break hor tics with America, It blamed the failure of the Anglo-Russian Trade Pact negotiations on the subservience of Great Britain to "Wall Street".

The Sing Tao Jih Pao of August 28th remarked that the Canberra Conference was the outcome of a feeling of uncasiness in Britain and the Dominions over American policy towards Japan.
